Happy 231st Birthday Marines! See GoDaddy's annual tribute here!  Video from Zimbabwe.  I want your Super Bowl ad input.

It is with great pride that I present our annual birthday tribute to the United States Marine Corps.

November 10th marks the Marine’s 231st birthday!
Each year, for the past three years, GoDaddy.com has prepared a special salute to the men and women of the United States Marine Corps and released it on November 10th to mark the Marine Corps' annual birthday celebration. This year we had Gunnery Sgt. R. Lee Ermey of "Full Metal Jacket" fame collaborate with us to make the card extra special. Thanks Gunny!

This is our best tribute ever!
Each year we have strived to improve upon the prior year’s salute and there’s no doubt in my mind that for this year it’s certainly mission accomplished.

A video from Zimbabwe.
In a prior blog article I mentioned that I recently returned from almost a month in Zimbabwe. Since then I’ve had a number of requests to post video or photos from the trip. So here’s a small video that was taken during the trip.

The video clip demonstrates what it’s like to bounce around in a safari truck, and ends with my radio lifeonline.com podcast signoff. I didn’t shave while I was there, so if you watch the video you’ll see a completely different me. To see the video please click here.

Super Bowl Decision Time.
We are in the process of reviewing creative for a possible Super Bowl ad or two. We are presently deciding if we should use Candice Michelle or Danica Patrick in our ad, or both of them. We also need to decide if we should tone it down this year – and maybe not do such an edgy ad.

The other alternative of course is not to do a Super Bowl ad at all.
