We started early on the multimedia effort this year — and it shows.
On November 10th and November 11th we celebrate two very special holidays back-to-back. November 10th is the birthday of The United States Marine Corps. November 11th is Veterans’ Day.

I'm proud of every branch of our armed forces — but to me Mother Green is special.
Plain and simple, I love the Marine Corps. Make no mistake that I’m both proud and thankful for every branch of our armed forces. Each is staffed with dedicated men and women who day in and day out make incredible sacrifices for our country. This said, it’s the Marine Corps that will always occupy a special place in my heart. This, of course, is because I served in the Marine Corps way back when.

To this day it’s unusual to meet another Marine who doesn’t feel as deeply about the Corps as I do. That’s why November 10th is such a special day for those of us who served in the Corps.

Even Gunny Sgt Ermey helped out with a special birthday message.
This year, like other years, we prepared a special birthday tribute to the Marine Corps. November 10th, 2005 marks its 230th birthday! We were fortunate to have Gunnery Sergeant R. Lee Ermy do a special recording for our card. Gunny Ermey currently stars in the History Channel’s Mail Call and was the unforgettable drill instructor in the classic movie Full Metal Jacket.
